If you're in Winchester please visit this wonderful pub / restaurant / hotel. It's steeped in character, serves great beers and good food. You can enjoy sitting outside, or in one of the several rooms within this idyllic place. Try the Cottage Pie, it's amazing ! This is a must try !

“Lunch with old friends”
An excellent and very comfortable pub/restaurant very near Winchester town centre and within 15 minutes walk of the station. Met with old friends and had an excellent lunch. Window seat and very cosy and atmospheric. Lunch very good. Bass was not particularly big and be careful if you eat off the non a la carte menu. For some reason some of the dishes on the two courses/three course offers are also on the a la carte menu. Watch which you are charged for!. Will certainly revisit.
