“Excellent dinner, great food, superb service”
Had dinner here with a few members of the family, excellent menu selection, decent wine list and very good service. Nice 'upmarket' pub decor with a good beer garden too. Well worth the visit!
“Gem of a Pub”
We were drawn here by the fact that this pub has a vegan menu in addition to its normal menu. The pub itself is pretty, with tons of colorful flowers outside, and Victorian-style furniture and knick-knacks decorating the inside. The food was very good quality, and the vegan nut roast was tasty. What really distinguished the experience, though, was the service, which was utterly professional and attentive without being smothering. The owner was so on top of things that when my daughter spilled a little of her drink, he was at our side with a napkin within seconds. Every other member of the staff we encountered was impeccably trained and clearly took pride in their job. This is clearly a place run with a lot of love and attention to detail. The owners should give seminars on how to run a pub.
